In addition to showing you how to insert an image from the WordPress Media Library into an Elementor Text widget, it more importantly shows you how to insert content created with Elementor.
This example uses the Elementor Pro add on to the free Elementor page builder but the free version of AnyWhere Elementor could be used instead.
The Simple CSS plugin from Tom Usborne is also used.
Here is the CSS used in the video. Keep in mind that you can adjust the width percentage values to suit.
#my-counter-left { position: relative; width: 50%; float: left; margin-top: 7px; margin-right: 15px; } #my-accordion-right { position: relative; width: 50%; float: right; margin-top: 7px; margin-right: 15px; } #flow-text img { margin-top: 7px; margin-right: 15px; margin-bottom: 15px; }
there’s no content here at all
Plugin issue … please check again.
Cheers!

Thanks. That’s pretty easy CSS. But dang, this seems like a pretty typical design need. I wonder why you just cant do this directly with Elementor. shouldn’t their goal to be to reduce the need for CSS?
Hi Ben,
You’re welcome 🙂
Yes, you are right, should be able to be done directly and not only the text widget. Would be so nice to be able to drag widgets in to the tabs and accordions for example.
Maybe some time (soon :)) they’ll come out with this.
Cheers!

Hi, I like your hints and tips and I respect your work!
I have just one remark, concerning the “didactics” of the video:
Why don’t you show the result which will be achieved following this video at the beginning of the video?
This would make it easier to find out whether this tutorial is what a user is looking for …
I so often try to follow video tutorials just to find out at the end that that was not at all the solution for my problem ;=)
Thanks again,
Connie
Hi Connie,
Thanks, and will keep that in mind going forward.
Cheers!

This is nice. It works. Thanks!
I was hoping that those Elementor-created content pieces were more like templates that you could edit on the page. For example, here, to insert a relevant accordion, you can’t edit the accordion content on the text-flow page. You have to create the content outside the text-flow page. Is there a way to insert a template, or editable content into a text-editor element?
Hi Mary Ann,
You’re welcome and good to hear it works for you 🙂
Unfortunately, at the moment what you are asking is not possible. Perhaps at some point in the near future, this functionality will become available.
Cheers!

Thank you for this tutorial. Instead of the image of the cake, I’ve embedded an mp4 video. How do I change the shortcode to make the text flow around the video. What code do I put instead of the “img” since it’s video?
Cheers

Hi Jane,
How are you adding the video? URL from YouTube? If so, use the method for the Elementor content and add the video to a section containing an Elementor video widget.
Cheers!
